Weekend working vibes: looking at re-zoning an existing garden around a new contemporary extension to create a greater illusion of space.
This proposal seeks to push the Play Zones to either side of the garden so that the play equipment doesn’t become the main focal point. The view when looking straight out from the kitchen/dining area is now a wider angle of uninterrupted views.
A glazed corner to the proposed extension allows views out to all sides of the garden, creating a greater perception of space.
The border is tucked back to 2m maximum to keep the soft screening, but allow a lawn to fill into the bottom corner and provide more play space. The shed has been removed in this layout, but could easily be reintroduced, but with the lawn pushed up against it.
This arrangement does away with an existing dead zone and maximises full use of the garden.
